Former Manchester United defender Gerard Pique was asked about the speculation linking him to a move to both Manchester clubs this summer.
The 29 year old was very clear in rejecting both reports while also showing great respect for his former club Man United.
Pique who joined the Red Devils as a teenager went back to Barcelona in 2008 and enjoyed great success since.
The reason behind the speculation to Manchester City is his former manager Pep Guardiola being appointed as the next manager for the blue side of the city.
Pique said that his love for Manchester United would prevent him from making such a move:
- “My love for United is too strong to go to City.
- I don’t see myself in their shirt, even though Pep is a great coach.
- I’m very happy in Barcelona. United are my second team but my future is at Barca.
