It has been made public by [Sky Sports] that Manchester United CEO Ed Woodward has started taking action due to the recent performances in the club.
Louis van Gaal is away to celebrate his daughter’s birthday, while Ryan Giggs has been authorized to take charge of the team.
During this time, Woodward has been holding face-to-face talks with senior figures and players at the club in order to discuss the problems and issues happening at the club.
Manchester United suffered their 9th defeat this season after the Southampton game putting them 10 points behind the leaders Leicester City.
The team is already out of the Champions League and Capital One Cup.
It is also obvious that Van Gaal isn’t a fan favorite as he gets booed every time he leaves the pitch at Old Trafford.
The crisis is serious and something needs to be done.
Some might thing that this step is taken late by Woodward, but it sure was inevitable.
