Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney publicly announced that he will be fit very soon.
The 30 year old has been out of action since his side’s defeat to Sunderland in mid-February.
7 to 10 days is the time he says he is expected to return which could be enough for him to feature against West Ham in the Fa Cup replay on April 13th.
Rooney said on ITV:
- “Hopefully, if everything goes to plan – I’m back outside running now – I’m hoping to be in full training in the next week or 10 days, so not too far away.”
He will have a good run of 7-8 games to play before the end of the season and he will be aiming to impress Roy Hodgson in order to secure his place in Euro 2016 with the likes of Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane in good form.
